"Johnny" also known as Did U Paint Me is a 2005 gelding by Paint Me Zippo. Yes he is related to Who Painted Me :-)

The first time Johnny was ever shown the poor guy had stood saddled for 4+ hours in Tulsa heat! We were showing in the first split of the $110,000 Reichert Celebration Color Classic Slot Class. Lucky for us we made it back to the finals! However when we showed in our split they stopped us after the reverse and asked us to back...I took this as an opportunity to back hard so I could get enough space between me and the rider infront of me so I didn't have to pass them. While the other split was in I didn't work Johnny because he was already too tired. Little did I know that while I had backed him up, he stepped on his fake tale and it was going to fall out...fall out it did!

During the finals for some reason I could not get Johnny to just put his head down and go around...he kept wanting to look behind him and stay somewhat tucked. I had no idea his tail had just been torn out and the poor guy had some tail hairs come out with it!! After I knew that tail in the ring stewards hand was mine all of his behavior made sense! Johnny was such a sport that night I didn't care what he placed!!!!

Johnny is now over 16.1 hands and we're gearing up for a great year in 2009!!
